🌸 Cut Flower Care
Thank you for supporting Runway Flowers, seasonal flowers grown locally. Each bouquet is thoughtfully grown and harvested for beauty and freshness. Follow these simple care steps to help your blooms stay vibrant and long-lasting.
With proper care, most fresh-cut flowers last 5–10 days or longer.
-
Start with a clean vase. Wash thoroughly with warm water and mild soap.
Fill with fresh, room-temperature water
Add flower food and stir until dissolved
-
Trim ½–1 inch off each stem at a 45° angle
Cut under running water if possible
Remove leaves below the waterline
Re-trim stems every 2–3 days
-
Keep flowers in a cool area away from direct sunlight
Avoid heat sources, vents, appliances, and ripening fruit
-
Change water every 1–2 days
Rinse the vase and refill with clean water
Add fresh flower food after each change
-
Let flowers hydrate for a few hours before arranging.
Keep away from ripening fruit — it releases ethylene gas that shortens bloom life.
